The core technological edge of laser welding lies in its microscopic Heat-Affected Zone (HAZ of max 0.03 mm). By rapidly melting the base and filler metals locally without heating the surrounding substrate, the process completely eliminates thermal distortion, warping, and residual stresses. This delivers narrow, high-penetration joints and pristine weld seams entirely free of spatter, effectively neutralizing the need for costly post-weld grinding or secondary cosmetic reworks.
